We do membership a little differently here at Reality.
We don’t have a membership class, we have a membership course. That’s because being a member of this church is far more than simply signing a piece of paper that no one ever looks at again except when it’s time to do a funds campaign.
Membership to us is truly about becoming part of a family of believers united around our faith in and obedience to God and the vision, mission, and values of this particular part of the body of Christ called Reality Church.
When you become a member, you become part of the…

Membership is also about helping you become all that God made you to be. We like to think of it as Spiritual Fitness Training, and it follows the model laid out by Paul in Ephesians 4:11-16.
Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ.
Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.
That is our desire. To have a church body that is healthy, growing, and full of love.
The course is six weeks long and occurs on Sundays at 3:30pm at our church office. Sessions are about 90 minutes and childcare is provided. It’s not the kind of thing you can join in the middle, and it’s important that you are able to commit to all six sessions.
